Gabriela Vainsencher is a visual artist, born in Buenos Aires and raised in Tel Aviv. She now lives and works in Brooklyn and Philadelphia and occasionally teaches art at Williams college, in Williamstown, MA.
Her drawings, videos and installations have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in the US and abroad, including Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA, La Chambre Blanche in Quebec City, The Freies Museum in Berlin, Pierogi gallery, Parker’s Box gallery and The Invisible Dog in Brooklyn. Gabriela has participated in several artist residencies, including Yaddo (2008) La Chambre Blanche (2009), Triangle Arts Association (2010) and The Atlantic Center for the Arts (2011). Gabriela’s next solo show will open on May 5th, at RAC gallery in the Lower East Side, New York. Her work will also be featured in May at the next “Fresh Paint 5″ art fair in Tel Aviv, Israel. Gabriela’s ongoing project “Morning Drawing” has been in the making since 2008 and can be seen here.
